What is the British Paediatric Mental Health Group (BPMHG)?
The BPMHG is a group of professionals interested in developing and promoting the role of paediatricians in mental health
Our aims can be summarised as follows:
To promote the importance of mental health issues in paediatric practice.
To promote the importance of paediatricians in the delivery of child mental health services.
To promote the development training opportunities for paediatricans in mental health.
To foster closer, more productive links with related professional groups. |
We have several practical roles:
Running an annual residential conference, which provides a small, intimate & much valued safe place to share controversial and difficult issues through presentations and workshops
We run an academic sub section at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health annual scientific meeting
We are represented on a wide range of committees within paediatrics and associated specialties.
We contribute to national consultations e.g. NICE guidance |
